Michael O’Connell

Managing Director

Michael O’Connell has more than 25 years’ of local and international experience in media, politics, corporate affairs and consultancy. He founded Media Research Group in 1996 and has lectured in communications and research at RMIT and UTS in Sydney.


Sally Chadwick

Senior Account Manager

Sally works closely with clients and the analysis team across a range of industries to ensure that we deliver meaningful and actionable insights. She has a Masters of Media and Communication and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) from The University of Melbourne, majoring in International Relations and Japanese.


Karin Eastby

Account Manager

Karin has built up significant expertise in media analysis and reporting, particularly in the resource and insurance sectors. Originally from the United States, Karin has a Masters of Public Policy and Management from University of Melbourne. She also holds a Bachelor of arts (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Richmond, Virginia, where she majored in political science.

James Lockie

Account Manager

James has extensive experience across a range of media intelligence areas, with a particular expertise in analysis of the financial services sector. He holds qualifications in economics and education and is currently studying Law on the side.
